It is with great pleasure that we welcome Eric Noterman as COO of the Port & Intermodal Logistics business unit.
After his studies at the Hogere Zeevaartschool Eric started in the port as operational manager and eventually CEO of the company that everyone now knows as DP World after several takeovers.
After twenty years of loyal service Eric started as CEO of Van Moer Logistics in 2012. In that function Eric has laid a number of solid foundations on which our company has been able to grow. In 2016 he started to guide companies from his expertise as an external advisor.
From that position, Eric was asked to make an analysis of our different departments within the Port & Intermodal Logistics business unit to optimise all possible synergies and forms of cooperation.
One of the outcomes of this analysis was the need for a coordinating figure at board level. After the loss of Dennie Lockefeer in 2019, this position was no longer filled.
Together with the entire executive committee, we are therefore very pleased that Eric has accepted the request to take on this role.
With his knowledge of the port and inland navigation in particular, coupled with his strong leadership, Eric will be able to further develop the business unit into a solid pillar within Van Moer Logistics on the foundations laid by Dennie.
From now on, Eric is part of the executive committee and will report directly to Jo Van Moer.
