Building The Perfect Flow for Polymers
Van Moer Logistics has officially inaugurated its new silo battery in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. With this investment, the family-owned company takes an important next step in the further development of its integrated Polymer Hub: a logistics platform where storage, handling, value-added services and multimodal connectivity come together within one efficient supply chain solution for the polymer industry.
The new infrastructure is strategically located near the deep-sea terminals in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and further strengthens Van Moer Logistics’ position as a specialised logistics partner for the (petro)chemical sector.

An Investment in Growth, Flexibility and Connectivity
The first phase of the project consists of 63 silos, each standing 30 metres high and offering a storage capacity of 340 cubic metres. Besides creating a striking new landmark in the Antwerp port landscape, the silos significantly expand the logistics capacity available for polymer flows across Europe.
The site has also been developed with a clear long-term vision. In the future, the capacity can be expanded to as many as 450 silos, making it one of the most ambitious growth projects in specialised polymer logistics in the region.
“With this investment, we are not only creating additional capacity, but above all building a flexible logistics platform that responds to the evolving needs of our customers and international supply chains,” says Jo Van Moer, Founder & CEO of Van Moer Logistics.

More than storage alone
The new site offers far more than storage capacity. Within the Polymer Hub, Van Moer Logistics combines specialised infrastructure with a broad range of integrated value-added services.
Customers can rely on services such as:
- Bagging and debagging of polymers
- Repacking of products
- Decanting bulk containers into silo trucks
- Multimodal distribution by road, inland waterway and rail
- Integrated storage and handling solutions
By bringing these activities together on a single site, an efficient end-to-end logistics flow is created, enabling products to reach their final destination quickly, flexibly and in the required format.

Bringing the industry together
The official opening brought together customers, partners and stakeholders from across the (petro)chemical industry for an inspiring afternoon in the heart of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
Following an opening address by Antwerp Alderman for Port and Economy Johan Klaps, guests attended a panel discussion moderated by Dorien Leyers. Topics included innovation, infrastructure, sustainability and the international competitiveness of Antwerp’s chemical cluster.
The panel featured Antoine Janssens, Jan Remeysen, Rob Smeets and Jo Van Moer.

The Perfect Flow for Polymers
During guided site tours, attendees gained insight into the operational flow behind the project. From inbound logistics and storage to handling and outbound distribution, visitors experienced how Van Moer Logistics brings its “The Perfect Flow” concept to life at this location.
By intelligently combining infrastructure, multimodal connectivity, specialised handling and value-added services, the company continues to develop sustainable, scalable and future-oriented logistics solutions for the polymer industry.
With this investment, Van Moer Logistics once again confirms its ambition to keep investing in the logistics of tomorrow together with its customers and partners.
